Condolence From: Polly, Dave and John Miller
Condolence: Mrs. Eck would always have kind and gentle words for my twin sister and myself when she would come and visit our precious friend and roomate, Laurie, at C.S.U. I loved hearing about how she was a kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten teachers hold a special place in my heart, and she stands out as one of the most significant, especially, having had the blessing of teaching some of her grandchildren in their first educational year. As a teacher, myself, I think that would have been wonderful! She was a precious, nurturing mother too because having met all of her kind and gentle children and hearing about them and their strong family closeness and togetherness and supporting spirit which has remained firm over the years; this is a fine tribute to her and Mr. Eck's love and care for their loved ones. Please know I will be keeping all of you in my warmest, gentlest thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Polly (Scranton) Miller, La Junta CO

Condolence From: Christiana Lucani
Condolence: Mrs. Eck taught me the most important things a teacher can impart.
She taught me to read, make peace with people in my community, genuflect when the fire trucks passed by and pray for the sick and injured, listen, ask questions, be kind, and to love learning. I was blessed to have Mrs. Eck in my life during that important time in my life. Blessings on her and all her loved ones that are grieving.
