Les was my client for 7 years. Over that time we developed a strong friendship based on honesty, respect, candor, humor, doing exceptional work, and working hard to serve the public’s interests in protecting human health and the environment. He was a fearless advocate of innovative thinking and technology to achieve meaningful results on project goals. Far more importantly, he loved and adored his wife and children. He never missed an opportunity to tell me the latest news in their lives and was a role model in not letting work take priority over spending time with them. I think his two favorite words were “my kids”. And he had genuine interest in my family, always wanting to know and cheer the latest in my kids’ adventures. I will miss those moments of just being two fathers hanging out together. My heart goes out to his family on their unfathomable loss. And to his colleagues at EPA. Rest in peace my friend.

To his family, Les was a wonderful co-worker. I worked with him in EPA - New England and we were both On-Scene Coordinators. I am sorry for your loss. AmyJean McKeown, Boston, MA.
