Arnold Shindelman, 72, of Denver, Colorado and formally of Hartford, CT and Warwick, NY passed away at his home on November 8, 2013. Arnold was born to Paul and Evelyn Shindelman on June 26, 1941 in Manhattan, New York. He received a Bachelor Degree for Business Administration from The City University of NY Bernard M. Baruch College and an Associate Degree in Applied Science from NY City Community College. Arnold had a lifelong career of over thirty years with Equifax Services. After 25 years of dedicated service he was awarded the “25 years Quarter Century Award.” Arnold is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Arnie was a dedicated volunteer for the youth group and advisor at at Temple Beth Shalom in Florida, NY and at Temple Beth Jacob in Newburgh, CT. Arnie is survived by his daughter, Ellen Kowitt of Erie, Colorado and son Mark Shindelman of Arlington, VA; brothers Alvin Shindelman of Lompoc, CA and Dan Rosen of Saint Louis, MO and grandchildren Cameron Kowitt and Samantha Kowitt. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean O’Looney. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 13 at 3:15 PM at Mountain View Cemetery in Boulder. Rabbi Josh Rose of Congregation Har HaShem will officiate. Shiva will start following the burial at the home of Ellen Kowitt in Erie. Contribution can be made to the American Heart Association.
