Bonny passed away at Sunrise of Boulder Assisted Living on Nov 2 in the presence of her family and with the care of Trailwinds Hospice during her short illness.

Bonny was born to George and Edith Blanchard on the family farm in rural Minnesota near Sargent. She was one of 14 siblings. She graduated from Grand Meadow High School in Grand Meadow, Minnesota. She married Joseph (Joe) Fruth on April 17, 1948 and they started their family of 3 sons, John (Carol), Jerry (Kim) and Jeff. In 1965 the family moved to Boulder and she lived in the Boulder area until her death. Joe passed away in 2015 after many happy years together.

Bonny was a very loving and caring woman to her family and all she met. Family was special to her. For many years they traveled to Minnesota at least once a year to be with her close set of relatives and friends. She had her Boulder family together for Sunday meals for years. She was very close to her grandchildren, Kate, Nick, Laura and Paul. She was a woman of faith and spirituality who was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas parish in Boulder. She formed many close friendships through St. Tom's. Her home became a home away from home for Graduate Students at CU.

After Joe's death Bonny lived at Golden West and then Sunrise of Boulder. She met her close friend Carolyn Vanek at Golden West and they both moved to Sunrise. The family is very appreciative of the care she received at Sunrise and the many caregivers there who became her friend.

Bonny is survived by her 3 sons and their spouses, 4 grandchildren and her daughter in law, Annemarie Fruth. She was the last survivor of her siblings, and was close to many nieces and nephews and their families.

A Memorial service and Mass will be on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Boulder. She will be buried with Joe at Fort Logan Cemetery.
