Carrie Host died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on March 29, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Denver as one of six children of Elma and Fo Farland and graduated from East High School and the University of Colorado. She is survived by her husband, Amory Host; and their three children, Chanel, Marco and William, as well as her father, Fo; brothers, Jack and Stephen; and three sisters, June, Wendy and Marisa. Carrie was a loving mother, daughter, wife and sister who put family first in all matters and was always available for her friends. She was an internationally published author for her memoir, Between Me and the River, and a Realtor with Sotheby's Real Estate. She loved the Colorado Rockies as her home and to fly fish its many scenic rivers. Services will be held this Saturday at St John's Episcopal Church in Boulder at 3:00, with a reception immediately following at the Hotel Boulderado.
