On Sunday, January 13, 2019, Cheryll Marie passed away at the age of 62. She was a loving mother and friend to many.
Cheryll was born on August 16, 1956 in Vermont, Minnesota to Dale and Rose. She moved to Colorado when she was about 10 years old and quickly became an adopted Coloradoan. She was raised on a ranch with her five siblings outside of Lafayette, CO. It was there she developed her love for animals (especially cats) which she carried on throughout her life. Her most proud moments were when she became a mother and a grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending time with children. She always provided endless love and comfort to everyone she came into contact with.
Cheryll had a passion for learning and creativity. She went back to school in her 50’s to pursue a career in healthcare. It was extremely important to her to help others in their difficult time since she suffered from her own health issues later in life. She remained joyful about many areas of life and never passed up a chance to learn something new. She loved to create. She loved to sew, make cards, and press flowers. She also loved to help others make their ideas come to life. She was a witty, kind, and open person who was able to talk to anyone about anything. She was such a forgiving soul that always welcomed love.
Cheryll was preceded in death by her big brother Steve, and precious sisters’ Julie and Carol. She is survived by her children Richard and Sarah, her grandson Richie, her mother Rose, her brothers Michael and Richard, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 at the St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Erie, CO at 10 o’clock a.m. with reception to follow. Please come to celebrate the loving life of Cheryll Maire.
