Daniel Anthony Madonna, 68, passed away on March 24, 2018, in Boulder, Colorado. Danial was born in 1949, in Boulder, Colorado to Anthony “Joe” Madonna and Irene Madonna. Daniel never married, Daniel served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded. As a result, Daniel was awarded the Purple Heart for his injuries as well as being awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Daniel was preceded in death by his father. Daniel worked for many years, both before and after military service, at the University of Colorado. Daniel is survived by his mother and three brothers; Victor (Nancy) Madonna of Longmont, Michael (Carmen) Madonna of Palm Springs, California, and Gordon (Gail) Madonna of Louisville as well as two nephews, Josh (Katrina) Madonna, Beaumont, California, Mark Madonna, Louisville, Colorado, and a niece, Kristine Madonna, Thornton, Colorado.
Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Louisville, Colorado on April 3, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery with full honors on April 3, 2018 at 2:00pm..
