Donald L. Vinson Jr aka “Butch”, eldest son of senior and Nola Vice, put it in park on August 23, 2023 in front of 79 years, right after a beautiful day spent at the home of his beloved children and grandchildren in Boulder, Colorado.
A man who served his country, and then his family, Don gave with all his heart until his heart gave.
He is survived by his only son, Nick. As a huge part of their daily family life in Colorado, Don aka “Dad” aka “Pops”, with his abrupt departure, leaves his son, grandson Maximilien, and daughter-in-law Soleine in deep mourning.
He will also be dearly missed by his lifelong best friend and sister Tonya, brothers Jeff and Richard, and all the nephews and nieces in Florida. His wife Hélène of 14 years will also miss his tongue-in-cheek pleasantries and jovial spirit.
The beloved man will be honored by a celebration of life hosted at his children’s home where honors will be given for his military service.
