Doris Serafini

August 5, 1930 — August 6, 2012

Doris Ann Serafini of Longmont died peacefully at home on August 6, 2012, the day after her 82nd birthday. She spent her last week as she would have wanted, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Doris grew up in Hillsboro, Illinois. She married Max Serafini in 1951, and they moved to Colorado in 1955, living in Denver, Longmont and Brighton until 1988 when they moved to Arizona. Doris returned to Longmont to live near her family after Max’s death in 2009. She is survived by her children and their spouses, John and Gail Serafini, Jay and Lissa Serafini, Connie and Randy Vohs, Karen and Bill Wiedemann, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deb Callender.
Doris Ann was a sweet, kind, gentle soul who took joy in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and particularly enjoyed silly cards and jokes from her children. Her favorite place in Longmont was the rose garden at Roosevelt Park. She will be in the hearts of her family forever.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to the staff at The Bridge at Longmont for their loving care and devotion to their mother and to Kathy, Nicole and Pat from Accentcare Hospice for their compassion and support.
