Dorothy Sidney

Dorothy M. Sidney passed on peacefully at home on January 15, 2014 at the age of 93. Dorothy met her husband, Ed Sidney, in Chicago, which began a wonderful 75 year life together. Dorothy raised a close knit family of four children, Mike Sidney (Karen), Kathy Sidney (Scott Sarbaugh), Scott Sidney (Karin), Jane St. Germain (Will ) which is a testament to what a great mother she was. She was proud of and close to her six grandchildren, Beau, Drew, Sam, Alex, Kate and Lucy. Dorothy was well ahead of her time in embracing the benefits of nutrition and exercise, an interest that she kept all of her life. She was a great athlete winning many awards and trophies in golf and tennis both of which she continued to play well into her 80's. She loved playing bridge and was an accomplished player. After raising her children Dorothy was certified to teach in Montessori schools and she enjoyed working with the children for many years. There will be a hole in our hearts without her.

Services will be held Feb 1st at 1 pm St Thomas Aquinas, 898 14th Street Boulder, CO. Reception immediately following at The Academy chapel 970 Aurora Boulder, CO.
