Douglas Ronald Elliott
60, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on July 8, 2017. He was born
July 11, 1956 to the late Priscilla Adams Elliott and is survived by
his father, Hoagland Elliott. Doug graduated from North Central High
School and attended Ball State University and Indiana University.
Doug was active in the Indianapolis Soap Box Derby and was the
champion in 1969 representing Indianapolis at the nationals in Akron. He also played football, basketball, and softball in the Tab Recreation Program. In his 20s, he
became a licensed pilot.
His love of mountains and the great outdoors lured him to Aspen, and
finally Boulder, Colorado. He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, camping,
biking, and hiking. He was a lifelong fan of IU basketball and the
Indy 500. For the past 15 years, the highlight of his summer was
attending the Burning Man Festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert.
Survivors include his wife Andrea, and his siblings Leslie Levenson
(Nathan), Robert Elliott (Pamela), and Cynthia Mudholkar, (Anil).
