Edward Michael Jersin, 85, of Pueblo passed away on March 2, 2013 in Boulder. Ed was born on March 15, 1927 to Joseph and Rafaela Jersin in Pueblo. On February 14, 1966 Ed and Wilda Starr were married at Saint Elizabeth Church in Denver. After serving in the Army Ed began a long career with CF&I Steel and as a farmer. Ed worked hard all his life and was passionate about farming but nothing was more important to him than God and his family. He dedicated his life to God and his family. He loved seeing his grandchildren, Liam and Grace. Ed was a lifelong member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Slovenian Catholic Union and the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, parents and his four brothers; Joe, Stanley, Ralph and John. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Gallagher (Dan); grandchildren Liam Gallagher and Grace Gallagher; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Ed’s granddaughter, Grace summed up Ed’s life with a quote from Dr. Seuss “I’ve had a great wonderful life, I’ve done what I wanted to do, I lived where I wanted to live, I had love, I had everything!”
