Edwin Lipien

Edwin Lipien, 86, of Longmont passed away on January 9, 2018. Ed was born on July 31, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Helen Lipien. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, he became an electrical engineer and married Therese Nelson Lindberg. Ed and Therese were married for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Therese and son, Robert Lindberg. Ed is survived by his children James Lindberg of Chicago, IL, Tim Lindberg of Longmont, CO, Mark Lipien of Lafayette, CO and Bruce Lipien of Austin, TX; siblings, Stanley Lipien Jr. and Richard Lipien and nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Friday, January 12 from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 13 at 10:00 AM at Saint Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont. There will be a reception following Mass at the Church. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder.
