Eloise Joan Stacy, 86, of Penrose, Colorado passed away on March 29, 2021 in Penrose. Eloise was born on July 22, 1934 in Walnut Bottom, Maryland to Rev. Russell W. and Emily Harvey. She studied nursing at Cabrillo College in California. She worked in canneries in California and several manufacturing firms in Colorado and was the co-owner of WP Instruments in Longmont. Eloise was an active member of the Penrose Senior Center and served on the Board of Directors. She was also a member of Bridge to Life Church in Canon City. In 2009 Eloise was honored as the Senior Queen of Apple Days in Penrose. She loved owls and cats and surrounded herself with them. She was a leader in several Free Methodist and Assemblies of God churches. She was an active leader in church activities and a devoted mother of five. She was one of heaven’s angels walking on earth. Kenneth and Eloise were married on June 2, 1953 in Will O’ the Wisp in Oakland, Maryland. Eloise is survived by her children, Dorothy Sheets, Robert Stacy (Joann), Kennetha Paetow (Warren), Janie Stacy-Roybal (Solomon) and Russell Stacy (Chris), sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and one great grandchild and eight well-loved cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stacy; sister Ruth Harvey and son-in law, Boyd Sheets. Visitation will be Friday, April 2 from 4:00-5:00 PM at Greenwood and Myers Mortuary. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 3 at 1:30 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, April 6 at 11:00 at the Bridge of Life Assembly of God in Canon City.
