George Kupfner

George Daniel Kupfner, 84, of Boulder passed away on January 26, 2018. George was born on April 27, 1933 to George Joseph and Dorothy Ann Kupfner in Superior, CO. After attending Superior Elementary School and graduating from Louisville High School George joined the United States Navy. George was a photographer for the Navy and the University of Colorado. He also worked for the City of Louisville. George was a member of the Moose Club, the American Legion and the VFW. George coached youth baseball and enjoyed his trucking, classic autos, sports and his cattle. Bonnie Louise and George Daniel were married on March 14, 1953 at Sacred Heart of Mary. George is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, George L. Kupfner (Lisa), Helen J. Nickerson (Dennis), Phillip K. Kupfner (Vicki), Timothy J. Kupfner (Kari) and Rocky E. Kupfner (Betsy); siblings, Kenneth D. Kupfner, Judith Kupfner Steele (Milt), Elizabeth Kupfner and Richard Kupfner (Sue); sister-in laws, Wanda Kupfner and Adrian Kupfner; grandchildren, Jennifer Nickerson Ward, Joseph Nickerson, Daniel Kupfner, Devon Kupfner Sager, George Kupfner, Lacie Garsia Kupfner, Joshua Kupfner, Ashlee Kupfner, Jared Kupfner, James Nickerson, Kaila Kupfner, Rocky Kupfner, Kyia Kupfner, Timothy Kupfner, and Jordon Kupfner and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lee Kupfner; granddaughter, Brittney Lee Kupfner and brothers, Robert Kupfner and John Kupfner. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31 at 9:30 AM with Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 AM and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The interment will immediately follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery. There will be a reception following the burial in the church hall.
