Helen Catherine Morgan passed away peacefully of failing health on May 14, 2019 in Boulder, CO. She was born in Anaheim, CA on March 6, 1932 to parents, Alphonse and Esther Salaets (Kelly). She was the eighth child of eleven. She attended St. Boniface grade school and graduated from Anaheim High School in 1949. She then joined the Pacific Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She married Arlen Morgan in June 1953. They lived in Garden Grove, CA until Arlen transferred with IBM to Boulder, CO in 1968. She soon had her seventh and last child, spending fifty years in the same home and watching her family grow up. She was a homemaker until the youngest entered middle school. She then worked part time with her good friend, Lee, for the next twenty years at Colorado University's Conference Inn. She was a wonderful wife, friend and above all a wonderful mother to her seven children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She LOVED and TREASURED every one of them and they felt the same about her. She loved flowers, her dogs Cody and Bandit, birds, babies and eating out sipping a good glass of wine. She loved her TV shows, reading mysteries, Broncos and tennis. Rafael Nadal is her tennis hero. She treasured her long-time high school friends, especially Donna, Dottie and Gypsy. She loved the Southern California beaches. She loved her Catholic faith and was a staunch defender and advocate for the disabled. Helen is survived her sons, Kurt and Randy; daughters, Lisa (John), Victoria (Jim), Kelly and Stacey (John); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; husband, Arlen; sister, Eileen; and brother, Daniel. She was preceded in death by son, Daniel and eight siblings. She was dearly loved and will be SO missed by family and friends. "God has you in his arms; we have you in our heart." Helen was laid to rest on May 18, 2019 in the Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery, Boulder, CO. All services were private and provided by St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and Greenwood and Myers Mortuary.
