Hunter Britegam

September 4, 1993 — August 16, 2021

Hunter Brown Britegam, 27, of Colorado, passed away early morning on August 16th, 2021. He was born on September 4th, 1993 at the Rose Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colorado to Kristine Gallagher and Jeffery Britegam.

Hunter was raised in Parker, Colorado where he attended Ironhorse Elementary, Sagewood Middle School, and Ponderosa High School. After graduating from Ponderosa High School, he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he attended Laramie County Community College and received his degree in General Studies. Following his graduation from LCCC, he moved to Eugene, Oregon to attend the University of Oregon and received a diploma for Landscape Architecture.

Back in Colorado, he owned a business, Brite Landscaping with his brother Nikolaus Britegam. It was established in 2005, which he continued to run during his summer breaks. Hunter also started his first internship while in Eugene, at Graham Landscape and Design. Following his graduation at U of O, Hunter moved back to his home state and continued to follow his passion of landscape architecture. Once in Colorado, he started his first official job as a Landscape Designer for American Design and Landscape. That was just the beginning, he participated and ran many more projects for other companies through the years as a licensed landscape architect. Eventually, he gained enough experience to start his own company with his friend, Skyler Bunch. They named their company Britegam Bunch Landscape Architecture (BBLA).

Hunter always loved to find new hobbies, whether it was tattooing, metal detecting, drawing, painting with watercolor, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, fly tying, wood working, and so much more. He also participated in soccer starting his freshman year at Ponderosa and into his time at LCCC where he became captain of the team and received a sports scholarship. His biggest passions were fishing, country music, guns, Ford pickups, Christmas, and spending time with his family and friends. His beautiful spirit and loving heart was so endearing and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Hunter is survived by his mother Kristine and step father Mike Gallagher, his father; Jeffery Britegam; his brother Nikolaus Britegam; his sister-in-law, McKenzie Freitag Britegam; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were considered family.
