James (Jim) Connolly passed away on the evening of April 3rd, 2021 in his home in Boulder, CO at the age of 73. Born in Chicagoland, Illinois on February 10, 1948 to James and Lois Connolly, he moved to Boulder in 1973 and embraced the mountain lifestyle. He was an avid skier, hiker, biker, and golfer, and retired from the University of Colorado in 2009. Jim will be greatly missed by his son Neil and daughter Jamie, grandson Declan, and his siblings, Barbara, Kathy, and Dean, and by many treasured friends. There will be a small memorial service and viewing held in Boulder at Greenwood & Myers on Wednesday, April 7th at 11am.
