James Feeney was born in Louisville, Kentucky and passed away in Louisville, Colorado. He dedicated his life to service starting in the U.S. Navy on the USS Lindenwald and then served on the Colorado State Patrol. Jim ended his marvelous career after 37 years with the Boulder Police Department wearing the coveted Badge #1 since 1985. During his tenure he was awarded the prestigious Medal of Valor along with numerous other awards and accolades. While Jim told many police stories, his favorite was meeting his beautiful wife Jill on a police ride along. They were married for 47 years and had 3 children. Jim also had 5 children from a previous marriage along with 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Throughout his career he made many lifelong friends, but his best friend Dwayne was the only person who could keep him on the phone for more than 5 minutes! During his 90 years he lived an amazing life, saw incredible advancements in the world and in true Jim fashion told inappropriate stories until his final day! He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim requested no service. In lieu of flowers please share your favorite stories at xbpd207@comcast.net Miss you Daddio!
