James W. Schell “Big Jim”, 91, of Longmont, CO (formally of Greeley, CO) passed away on December 24, 2023. James was born in Chicago, IL on May 8, 1932 to Albert and Margaret Schell. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado College and worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals for 35 years. Lois and James were married on June 4, 1955 in Denver, CO. James was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. He loved to flyfish, camp and golf. James was a loving devoted father, husband and especially grandfather. James was preceded in death by his wife, Lois and children, James “Jimmy” Schell and Lisa Schell. He is survived by his Daughter Ann Boyle (Tad); grandchildren, Jack Boyle, Claire Boyle Pete Boyle and Alyssa Schell.
