Jerre-Ann Lloyd of Louisville, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2015. She was born as Jerre-Ann Ericson on July 20, 1930 in Hillrose, Colorado, the second daughter of Walter and Lillian. She graduated from Hillrose High School and then attended Denver University where she met her life partner of 61 years, Bill Lloyd. They married in 1950 and moved to Laramie where they graduated from the University of Wyoming. Jerre-Ann got her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of New Mexico in 1975. They had four kids; Judith, Brian, Barry, and Bryce while moving around from Wyoming to Colorado, and New Mexico and back. She loved her kids and grandkids so much, and she loved her Golden Retrievers almost as much!
An elementary school teacher where ever she lived, she adored teaching, and was a lifelong reader and enjoyed keeping up on current events and learning new things. She treasured the outdoors especially Rocky Mountain National Park where she did so much hiking. She enjoyed watching any kind of sports, from football to tennis to cycling. She was active in bridge and reading groups, volunteered with Boulder Open Space, and loved working as a docent at the Denver Zoo.
Jerre-Ann was a woman both ahead and behind her time. She would have loved living the adventurous outdoor life of a modern woman but she had the “stuff” of a pioneer woman too. Those who knew her will miss her dearly.
