Jerry Davidson (neé) Dreyer, aged 87, passed away on December 28th, 2024. She was a beloved mother, wife, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jerry was born on November 18th, 1937 in St. Louis Missouri to Louise and Stanley Dreyer. They moved to Kansas City when Jerry was 7yrs old. She attended Sunset Hill School and went on to study at Pembroke College (later Brown University) and dedicated herself to philanthropy and community work throughout her life in addition to being a homemaker and devoted wife to her late husband Vernon Davidson. They lived for many years in Kansas City, and loved bringing friends and family to their second home in Naples, Florida. Jerry and Vern moved to Colorado to be closer to their daughters and enjoyed many years in Boulder and Louisville. Jerry was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, sharing stories, and playing games. Jerry and Vern were avid golfers during their 30 plus years in Naples. She loved to travel and was a voracious reader. You didn't mess with her coffee in the morning or her cocktail hour in the evening or there was hell to pay! Jerry was known for her sharp sense of humor, generosity, and living life to the fullest. In her free time, she enjoyed numerous activities at The Balfour, where she lived. Her last days were spent doing what she loved with her great friends: played Mahjong and Bridge, actively participated in exercise classes, book clubs and enjoyed dinner with friends and family.
Jerry is survived by her children James Davidson (pre deceased by beloved wife Wendy Davidson) , Jane Davidson, Mary Davidson Kovach and husband Joseph Kovach, and Emily Perkins and husband Scott Perkins. Along with her 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
A private remembrance was held by her four children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Food Share in Louisville CO.
