Joan Frances Simmons Linnert, 94, of Littleton, Colorado, died on Sunday February 2, 2025, at Libby Bortz Assisted Living.

Joan Frances was born September 14, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY.

She attended Cleveland Heights High School and graduated from Carnegie Medical School.

Joan worked for several individual doctors for more than 60 years and in her 80's was a caregiver for the elderly. She was always dressed to impress; she loved to iron everything. Her friend Mary said she was always coffied. Joan loved her family and friends, always wanting to help whoever needed her. Mom and Dad were amateur roller skaters. She was not afraid to venture into singing, acting, going to parties like, WWF wrestling and Sturgis motorcycle rally. She loved to laugh and loved to make us laugh. She loved country western and dancing with "The Dancing Divas" of Colorado for many years. Her favorite music was Andrea Bocelli and Alan Jackson.

She always said "I'll never let the grass grow under my feet".

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Richard of 62 years, who passed in 2015, and her parents, Raymond and Rosalie (Simmons), brother, Michael; and sister, Patty.

She is survived by her son Gregory and his wife Tammy Linnert of Lakewood,Colorado. Daughter Kathleen and her husband Anthony Williams and grandson Richard Finley of Thornton, Colorado. Sisters Mitzi Lindsey of Lagrange, Ohio, and Elissa Kelly of Lake Worth Florida. Cousin Hope Holiday of Rancho Mirage, California who both grew up together in Brooklyn NY., and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

Her close friend of the last 5 years Robert (Bob) Dauenhauer of Littleton, Colorado.

A celebration of life will be held in June of 2025 time TBD at Greenwood Mortuary in Boulder, Colorado. We would love you to join us.
