Joe Davis

Joe Kelly Davis was born in Oklahoma City, OK on February 22, 1962 to Charles Kelly Davis and Betty Jo Thurman Davis. He passed away on February 14, 2015 in Lafayette, Colorado. He grew up in Vernon, Texas where he graduated from Vernon High School in 1980. While attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, he pledged Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He began his banking career working for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Allen, Texas and later was employed by JPMorgan Chase Bank as a regional manager and traveled throughout the west and southwest. He loved music, outdoor activities, and especially enjoyed a round of golf with his many friends. Those closest to Joe knew him as an articulate, highly intelligent man with many interests and abilities. He was a loving and caring son to his mother and dearly loved his three children. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas. He is survived by his mother Betty Jo Davis, his three children: Katherine Anne Davis, Taylor Jovella Davis, and Jackson Kelly Davis, and his fiancé Kathleen Garrison. Services will be held in Vernon Texas on Saturday Feb 21st at the Sullivan Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday Feb 23rd in Okemah. OK, coordinated by the Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
