John O'Brien

John Patrick O’Brien, of Firestone, passed away on February 5, 2013 in Englewood. He was born in Rawlins, Wyoming on November 5, 1949 to John and Alice O’Brien. After graduating from Rawlins High School John attended Casper College, the University of Wyoming and Metro State University. He had a successful career as a sales manager for United Security, MCI (telecommunications) and Legacy Publishing. On August 8, 1970 John married Pamela Zeren at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Boulder. He was a musician and played electric, folk and bass guitars and the piano. As a hobby he wrote music for all instruments. John was dedicated to his family. His five granddaughters were his pride and joy. John became friends with whomever he met. John was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife and children, Michael J. O’Brien of Denver and Kelly A. Baca of Firestone. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Schroder of Las Vegas, Nevada, his grandchildren, Chloe O’Brien, Madelyn Baca, Audrey Baca, Ruby Baca and Josephine Baca and in-laws Geri Buresh (Dave), Kim Bohn (Mike), Dan Zeren, and Rod Zeren (Francine).
