Margaret G. Ussery, 88, of Boulder, CO and formerly of Sandia Park (Albuquerque area), NM Passed away in Boulder September 8, 2017. Marge was born in Colorado Springs, CO August 4, 1929 to John H. and Margaret Z. Paine.
Marge was a graduate of the University of New Mexico. She married Albert T. Ussery in Albuquerque November 22, 1950.
Marge was a homemaker but had lifelong interests and involvement in a variety of groups and organizations. These included her life membership on the New Mexico museum of Natural History, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Assistance League, PEO, Lifetime member of the New Mexico Zoological Society, American Poultry Association Master Exhibiter and she was a buffalo rancher in North Valley of Albuquerque. Marge was also honored by the Colorado Poultry Association where she showed poultry for over 50 years. She was active with the East Mountain Gardening Club, Hiking Club and Book Club.
Marge loved animals, especially her dog, Jack, her cat Samantha and her cockatiel Zeus!
Marge was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her children; Marilyn Uilk, Meredith Anderson, Margaret Byers and John Ussery as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
