He completed the ride in less than 10 days on his Harley Davidson Road King. Bicycle riding was yet another passion of his. Paul graduated from the Colorado Police Academy and worked with the Canine Unit at the Boulder Sheriff Department with his canine partner, Jack. In1993 he was award the Medal of Valor for his heroism and distinguished service. After leaving the Sheriff Department, he moved on to a new passion, public television where he worked in productions. He then worked for Qwest where he made many friends around the world. From Qwest he moved to CRI and eventually leading to his final employer, Scottrade. In recent years Paul began managing and booking jazz artists around the globe. A celebration of his life will take place in the next few weeks. A favorite quote of Paul's was, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the things you did do. Therefore, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, set the trade winds in your sail. Explore, dream, discover." -Mark Twain.

We will miss Paulie. We will lift our faces to the trade winds and think of you as you travel from this safe harbor and you begin your next journey.
