Paul Smith

Paul Allen Smith, 87, of Boulder, Colorado passed away on June 19, 2018 in Thornton, CO. Paul was born on May 16, 1931 in Mount Vernon, New York to Harold and Margaret Smith. Paul graduated from Regis Jesuit High School and earned a BS in Geology from the University of Colorado. After serving in the United States Air Force in the Korean War, Paul founded the Paul A. Smith & Company, LTD in 1960. Mona Jean and Paul were married in Boulder on April 19, 1958. Paul loved the mountains and fishing and hunting with his children. Paul is survived by his wife, Mona Jean; children Robert Allen Smith (Janice), Michael Paul Smith, Mary Elizabeth Owston (Tim), Stephen Andrew Smith (Pam); sister Barbara Jean Murphy; and grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Molly Smith, Ryan O’Shea, Morgan O’Shea, Sean Smith, Meghan Smith, Benjamin Smith and Paige Smith. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Paul Smith. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 26 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Mary. Interment will immediately follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
