Phyllis Ann Lonnon, 80, passed away Wednesday, December 10th, 2014, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Phyllis was born in WaKeeney, KS, on November 1st, 1934, to Mayme Ethel (Nelson) and Robert Eugene Disney.
She received a Master's Degree in Home Economics from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Phyllis taught home economics in schools in Colby, KS, Parker, AZ, and Tucson, AZ, over a ten-year period.
She married Merle Dean Lonnon on August 16, 1963, while teaching in Tucson, AZ. They met in elementary school in Ellis, KS. Merle and Phyllis moved to Arden Hills, MN, in 1965, where she raised a family and retired.
Phyllis valued her family, made friends with so many, and perfected the art of teaching and designing almost anything, including furniture, clothing, food, and family life.
Survivors include her husband Merle, their four children: Ardith Ann Falkner, Eugene Dean Lonnon, Gregory Dean Lonnon, and Daryl Dean Lonnon; her grandchildren: Julia Ann Falkner, Grant Joseph Falkner, Matthew Dean Lonnon, Samantha Megan Lonnon, Nicholas Dean Lonnon, Paige Yasmin Lonnon, Maya Isabel Lonnon, Ethan Rohan Lonnon; and her brother Richard Kepple Disney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert William Disney and Walter Eugene Disney.
