Richard F. Bryant, 67, of Boulder, Colorado passed away on September 7, 2017 in Boulder. Dick was born on November 17, 1949 in Silver Creek, Nebraska to John "Jack" and Carolee Bryant. After graduating from Silver Creek High School Dick earned a Bachelor's Degree from Creighton University and a Master's Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dick also attended Saint Thomas Seminary in Saint Paul, MN and Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, CO. After graduating from the ROTC program at Creighton University Dick served his country in the United States Army for two years. Dick worked for many years at the Norlin Library at the University of Colorado. Dick was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Council 1183. He received the 2017 Mentor Service Award from the Knights of Columbus. Dick enjoyed baseball, tennis and reading. He is survived by siblings; Anne Hobbs (John), of Norfolk, NE, Mary McKeon (Tom) of Stanton, NE Jean Starman (Frank) of Kearney, NE, Jon Bryant of Silver Creek, NE and Jim Bryant of Silver Creek, NE; nephews, Brent Hobbs and Logan McKeon and nieces, Lisa Hobbs, Morgan Starman and Lindsey Starman. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Bryant. Recitation of the Rosary will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 12 at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus on Tuesday, September 12 at 10:00. Interment will be at Saint Lawrence Cemetery in Silver Creek, Nebraska on September 23 at 10:00 AM. Contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Council 1183.
