Robert Austin “Bob” McDaniel, 83, of Boulder, Colorado, died Friday November 30, 2012, at Wynwood assisted living facility in Boulder.
Mr. McDaniel was born August 11, 1929 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the son of Harry Austin and Maud Avery (Bright) McDaniel.
Surviving are three sisters, Roberta Noble of Olympia, Washington; Betty Jo Hertzler of Torrington, Wyoming; and Vena Margaret Runyan (Wayne Runyan) of Westminster, Colorado; and one sister-in-law, Kathryn McDaniel of Loveland, Colorado. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ward Emery McDaniel, two brothers-in-law, Harold Noble and Myrlan “Bud” Hertzler.
He earned his PHD in October 1962 from the University of Kansas at Lawrence, after which he was a Professor of Chemistry at Michigan State University until his retirement.
The Rev. Steven Seng will conduct the memorial service.
