Obituary for Rosemarie Fridge

Rosemarie Fridge formerly of 1400 S. Collyer St. Longmont, Co died peacefully in her sleep May 9, 2019.
Her life began October 14, 1927 in a little ranch house near Merriman in western Nebraska. Unable to reach the hospital in time, her father, Vernon Brown stopped at a farmhouse with his wife Mabel (Malone) Brown.
Rosemarie spent her childhood years in the Boulder-Longmont area of Colorado. She began 1st grade at ColumbineSchool in Hygiene, attended Batchelder Elementary, Boulder Jr. Academy, Campion Academy in Loveland and graduated from Shelton Seventh-day Adventist Academy in Shelton, NE in 1945
Throughout her years Rosemarie had a variety of work experiences including employment at a Rayon Factory in Painesville, OH; Esquire Magazine in Boulder; IBM, Red Riding Hood Nursery, and Porter Hospital as a physical therapist. She enjoyed selling Playhouse Toys, Swipe and Amway cleaning fluids, and Tupperware. As a young adult she enjoyed distributing christian books as a Literature Evangelist.
Rosemarie was a Master Gardener, accomplished artist, and sought after seamstress. She learned to do upholstery and recovered sofas to motorcycle and airplane seats. She baked wedding cakes and made beautiful flower arrangements and corsages. She won Grand Prize in an art show and sold many of her paintings in the Denver area. Above all, she enjoyed sharing her faith with others.
But her greatest accomplishment was the raising of six children, baking decorator birthday cakes, sewing
specialized costumes, and having dinner on the table every night at 5.
Rosemarie met Richard P. Fridge, Sr. at a skating rink in Boulder, CO and they were married on April 17, 1947. She is survived by her four sons: Richard and Colleen of Denver, CO; Roger and Charlene of LaSalle, CO; Ronald of Hot Sulphur Springs, CO; Randy and Nancy of Ft. Worth, Texas and two daughters: Renee and Clarence McKey of Great Falls, MT; and Roberta and Rodney Dillon of Armona, CA. She has two grand-daughters, Katrina Hopkins and Jean Wiegand and nine grandsons: Richard III, Tim, Dan, Brian, Gabe and Joshua Fridge; James McKey; and Matt and Grant Dillon. Rosemarie has 13 great-grandchildren: Andrew and Miranda Hopkins; Jaicee, Luke, and Sadie Wiegand; Nadiyah Molinari; and Richard IV, Carson, Kylie, Alissa, Jeremiah, Ryah and Atticus Fridge. Her sister-in-law Melva Fridg, resides in Ohio. Rosemarie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61years and four brothers, Robert, John, Lou and Carl Brown.
Internment is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 15 at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
Officiating Clergy is her son-in-law, Clarence McKey of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
