In Loving Memory of Roy Warembourg

July 24th 1953 – June 9th 2024
Roy Warembourg, age 70, of Louisville, CO passed away peacefully on June 9th 2024, after a 10 month
courageous battle with cancer. Known to friends as Puff, he was a Colorado native, born in Boulder on July 24,
1953, to Leroy and Joann Warembourg. Roy was a member of the last graduating class of Louisville High
School in 1972, and as an overall athlete in everything, he was on the school’s football, wrestling and baseball
teams and played the saxophone for the school’s concert and jazz bands. Roy attended Metro State
University in Denver and after graduating with a degree in engineering he started his first job at Storage Tek
kickstarting a very successful career for 40 years as a Senior Director of Engineers. In 1977 Roy married the
love of his life, Paulette, and built a beautiful life together having two children, Jennifer and Kevin.
Roy retired from Oracle in 2017, and spent time doing the activities he most loved; golfing, bowling, traveling
and boating with his family and friends. Roy was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an
enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He was clever and full to
the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences – he could fix or build anything.
Roy was proceeded in death by his father, Leroy and his sister, Brenda. He will be fondly remembered by his
wife, Paulette; his two children and their spouses, Jennifer (Matt) and Kevin (Erica); his five grandchildren,
Ashtyn, Eli, Kamden, Corbyn, Hadley; as well as his mother, Joann; and siblings, Brian and Teressa. He will also
be deeply missed by his extended family and countless lifelong friends.
Roy will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them –
and if you knew him, you knew it. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, hardworking attitude and
love for life. He will be missed dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Vigil at St. Louis Church in Louisville on June 17th at 6pm. A
funeral to celebrate the life of Roy will be held on June 18th at St. Louis Church in Louisville at 10am followed
by the committal at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Boulder.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Louis Church in remembrance of Roy Warembourg.
