Shawn Peterson

Shawn Eric Peterson, 53, of Longmont, CO passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Thompson Park, 420 Bross St., Longmont, CO. Shawn is survived by his parents, Chuck and Rosalie Peterson, and his wife, Hannah Hippely of Longmont. He leaves behind a loving family including his sister Jami Leugers (Steve) of Sante Fe, NM and their children, Emily, Abbie and Hannah; his sister Jill Peterson (Chris) of Mt. Maunganui, New Zealand; his sister Jodi Cox (Steve) of Firestone, CO and their children, Kailee and Jake; his brother Chad Peterson (Amiee) of Frederick, CO; his sister Julie Peterson Miller of Longmont, CO, and her children, Claire, Carter, and Peyton. He is also survived by his nephews Justin and Dominic Warner of Longmont, CO; his niece and nephew Adria and Isaac Hippely of Arvada, CO; Rae Kettle of Louisville, CO. Known by many as "The Big P", Shawn's irrepressible sense of humor, love of life, and larger-than-life personality impacted hundreds of people that will cherish every moment and every memory made with him. He will be greatly missed.
