Suzanne de Lemos, 60, of Boulder, died Saturday, March 1st 2014.
She was born to Don and Virginia de Lemos, September 5th, 1953 in Palo Alto, California.
Suzanne held a masters in teaching, as well as degrees in music and psychology. She was a high school teacher at Northglenn and Mountain Range High Schools. Suzanne was active in the lives of her students, and ran clubs for her students including “We the People”, and Mock Trial.
Learning and teaching were of greatest value to Suzanne. She studied cultures around the world, languages and art in her free time. She instilled sense of American civil duty in her students through her lessons, and activities. She was a talented musician, and was a beautiful singer, pianist, flautist, and guitarist.
Suzanne and Brian met in Eugene, Oregon, while studying psychology. She followed Brian to Colorado.
Suzanne married Brian Davidson, June 14th, 1981. She had a lifetime love of travel, which she shared with her husband, Brian. Since their honeymoon in France, they have returned numerous times together, and with their two sons, Ben and Steve.
Suzanne had an exceptional ability to listen to the people she loved. She was a font of kindness, supportiveness, and empathy. She drew out the kinder side of everyone. Her home was gentle, calm, and loving. She was always happy to get something for a person she cared about. Her personal connections to the people she loved could be found in objects throughout her home, reflecting their individual interests and defining characteristics.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark de Lemos, and her father, Donald de Lemos. She is survived by her mother, Virginia de Lemos; her husband, Brian Davidson; and her two sons, Stephen Davidson and Benjamin Davidson (Kathleen).
