Suzanne Margaret Newman Webster 9/20/25 - 2/9/19

Suzanne Margaret Newman Webster of Boulder passed away on February 9, 2019, at the age of 93. She was a devoted mother to her two sons: George Chandler Webster II of Los Angeles and Robert Newman Webster of Boulder. She adored her four granddaughters: Meghan Julianna Webster and Caitlin Elizabeth Webster, both of Los Angeles, and Chandler Elizabeth Webster and Kelsey Margaret Webster, both of Boulder. Suzanne was born on September 20, 1925, in Chicago to Bernard Ellsworth Newman and Theo Griffith Newman; she had one sister, Nancy Jane Newman of San Francisco, all who preceded her in death.

Suzanne attended Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois. Suzanne loved to travel and visited all but three states, in addition to much of Europe and Mexico. After moving from Chicago, Suzanne lived in New Braunfels TX, Lincoln NE, Greenville SC, Tucson AZ, Dayton OH, and Toronto Canada. She then moved to California where she lived for more than 30 years in San Francisco, San Carlos, Atherton, Redwood City, and Sunnyvale, before moving to Boulder.

From 1971 to 1988, Suzanne was one of ten private Executive Chefs in the country, working for Syntex Corporation in Palo Alto, California. After she retired, she moved to Boulder and for nearly three decades was an active resident of the Boulder Meridian, where she rarely missed an outing or an opportunity for community leadership. For the past two years she resided at the Brookdale Longmont. Suzanne loved to laugh, listen to books on tape, and relished sharing stories with family and friends. Her warm and engaging smile touched the lives of many over the years. Over and over, she said she was very fortunate and blessed throughout her life!

In lieu of a service, donations in Suzanne's honor may be made to the Evans Scholars Foundation, online at wgaesf.org, or by mail to One Briar Road, Golf, IL, 60029.
