Tamara Anne Harland, 74, of Boulder passed away on June 30, 2016. Tamara was born to James Raymond and Virginia Louise Hamilton on May 20, 1942 in Houston, Texas. Tamara earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary and a Master’s Equivalent in French from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She was an English and French teacher in the Boulder Valley School District for twenty years and worked for Granville Phillips in Boulder for 10 years. Robert and Tamara were married in Calgary Alberta Canada on January 4, 1961. Tamara loved outdoor activities, including taking care of her horses and horseback riding, running, biking, skiing, hiking and gardening but nothing was more important than her family. Tamara is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Nancy Revitte (Tom), Bob Harland (Cristy); siblings, Jim and Laurel Hamilton, Duane and Sherry Hamilton and John Hamilton; and grandchildren, Kirsten Revitte, Caitlin Revitte, Michael Revitte, RJ Harland and JT Harland. A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, July 5 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood and Myers Mortuary. A reception will immediately follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
