Victorio Blas Gallo
Victorio, aged 84, entered eternal life on Friday, March 4th, due to complications from advanced dementia. He was born in Rosario, Argentina, on November 9, 1931, to Enilda and Felix Gallo.
Victorio always admired the United States and upon the completion of his Civil Engineering Degree in Argentina, he got married and moved to the United States to complete his dream of living in this country. Victorio was an ultramarathon cyclist and he crossed the entire country multiple times during competitions or on tours. He still holds many ultramarathon cycling records.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys, his children Maria Victoria (Bruce) Joslin, and Felix Blas (Susan) Gallo; his grandchildren Adriana May, Anna (Zarish) Coronado, Aurelio Joseph Fiorenza, Victor and Morgan Gallo; and his great-grandson, Royce May.
Cremation has already taken place and a Memorial Mass will be performed on Thursday, March 10th at 10:00 AM, at the Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Boulder, followed by interment in the cemetery of the church.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the entire staff and caregivers at the Altavita Memory Care Center in Longmont, where Victorio spent his final few months.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victorio’s memory to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley or to the charitable organization of your choice.
